Roadtrip in the US of A (18.4.07 - 9.6.07)

The winter season in Tahoe finally ended at the 15th of April and I took off soon after heading towards Santa Barbara, CA where I visited my friend Shaun (US-CA) whom I had met in NZ. It was great seeing him and thank you for having me and introducing me to Sierra (US-TX) and Jason (US-CA). Matt (US-NY) came on April 25th and together we started a roadtrip cross country towards New York. We came through Arizona, Mexico, Texas, Lousiana, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Washington DC and New York. Loved the trip!

 

Die Winter Saison in Tahoe war am 15. April dann endlich zu Ende und von da aus gings dann auch sofort weiter nach Santa Barbara, CA wo ich Shaun (US-CA) besuchte den ich aus Neuseeland kannte. Es war toll ihn wiederzusehen und vielen Dank dass ich bei dir wohnen durfte und dass du mir Sierra (US-TX) und Jason (US-CA) vorgestellt hast. Matt (US-NY) kam am 25. April und zusammen starteten wir unseren Roadtrip einmal quer durch die USA Richtung New York. Wir kamen durch Arizona, Mexico, Texas, Lousiana, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Washington DC und New York. Toller Trip!

Carolin's visit (7.3.07 - 24.3.07)

Carolin (GER) came to visit me in March and we had an awesome time together checking out San Francisco, Las Vegas, Hoover Dam and of course Lake Tahoe! It was great to see her again and I hope I'll other people on my other trips! Come and visit me, you got a place to stay!

 

Carolin (GER) kam und besuchte mich im Maerz. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit zusammen und schauten uns San Francisco, Las Vegas, den Hoover Damm und natuerlich auch Lake Tahoe and! Es war super sie wiederzusehen und ich hoffe ich sehe noch andere Leute auf meiner Reise! Kommt mich besuchen und ihr habt nen Platz zum schlafen!

Roadtrip to Santa Cruz (01.01.07 - 03.01.07)

For my birthday I went to Santa Cruz where I enjoyed the scenery and went surfing...which was awesome!

 

An meinem Geburtstag gings nach Santa Cruz wo ich die Aussicht genoss und wir surfen gingen...was super war!

Living and working at Northstar-At-Tahoe (23.11.06 - 17.4.07)

So I met back up with Matt (US-NY) and together we went to Truckee, CA north if Lake Tahoe. I had a job starting at Northstar-At-Tahoe as a lift operator. As soon as I started I got offered the position as a supervisor at the tubing centre which I took. I also worked as a bartender in a skibar at the mountain! (Great tips ) I had a great time working there with all the people and made a lot of good friends. Thanks to everybody! I also snowboarded a lot and improved a little   Other than that I didn't party too much this time and just worked a lot...Hm, I had a fun new years and went on a few roadtrips for my b-day and when Carolin (GER) came to visit!

 

 

Ich traf mich also wieder mit Matt (US-NY) und zusammen machten wir uns auf den Weg nach Truckee, CA noerdlich vom Tahoe See. Mein Job als Skilift Operatorin in Northstar-At-Tahoe sollte Ende November losgehen. Als es losging wurde mir gleich eine Stelle als Managerin im Schneeschlitten Center angeboten welche ich annahm. Ausserdem arbeitete ich als Bartender in der Skibar! (Tolles Trinkgeld ) Ich hatte eine tolle Zeit mit den all den Leuten mit denen ich arbeitete und machte tolle Freunde. Danke an alle! Ich war auch ne Menge snowboarden und lernte aber nicht viel  Diesmal war ich nicht soviel auf Partys sondern arbeitete ne ganze Menge...Hm, ich hatte auch ein eher ruhiges Silvester mit Freunden und war auf ein paar Roadtrips fuer meinen Geburtstag und als Carolin (GER) mich besuchen kam!

Roadtrip Oregon & California (18.11.06 - 22.11.06)

So I left Meghan (US-WA) in Portland and made my way down to California with this guy Dennis (US-OR) who I've met on craigslist.com. The trip itself wasn't as great as I thought it would as it was raining all the way down to California and you couldn't see very much...   But arriving in San Francisco was a total different story! It was incredible! I love this city. It has such great vibe and it just feels good to be there!

 

Also ich verliess Meghan (US-WA) nach einer Woche in Portland und machte mich auf den Weg nach Kalifornien mit einem Dennis (US-OR), den ich auf craigslist.com kennengelernt hatte. Der Trip an sich war net so toll, da es den gesamten Weg bis nach Kalifornien regnete und man nichts sehen konnte  Aber schon bei der Ankunft in San Francisco aenderte sich alles! Es war unglaublich! Ich liebe diese Stadt. Was fuer eine tolle Atmosphaere und es fuehlt sich einfach gut an da zu sein!

Portland, Oregon (11.11.06 - 18.11.06)

My arrival in America startet off with a cookie my dear friend Meghan (US-WA) gave me by arrival. And after my 12 hour flight or so we went to a college party (with free condoms) which was fun. The following week I explored Portland, hang out with Meghan and her roommates and slept in a closet! Right on!

 

Meine Ankunft in Amerika startete mit einem Spezial Keks von meiner Freundin Meghan (US-WA) den ich bei Ankunft bekam. Und nach meinem 12 Stunden Flug gings dann auch gleich weiter zu einer Uni-Party (mit Kondomen fuer umsonst) die sehr lustig war. In der darauffolgenden Woche schaute ich mir Portland an, unternahm eingiges mit Meghan und ihren Mitbewohnerinnen und schlief in der Abstellkammer! Juhu!
